[-'vaʃa-], abflussloser See mit leicht alkalischem Wasser in Kenia, im Ostafrikanischen Graben nordwestlich von Nairobi, 1 888 m über dem Meeresspiegel, 20 km lang, 15 km breit, 130 km2 groß; viele Pelikane; im Osten die kleine Insel Crescent Island mit über 300 Vogelarten, Ried- und Wasserböcken; Fremdenverkehr. Am Nordostufer der Ort Naivasha (7 500 Einwohner).
